For many donors, giving back is a lifelong commitment. For Heather and Don Royal, it will last even longer.
They have decided to set up a medical endowment with the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, designed to keep giving to the Foundation long after their lives are over. Typically, these endowments take the form of estate gifts or Will allocations. Read more
Bette Ann & John’s story
While many of our Foundation's volunteers support our existing programs, others find their very own way to give back.
In 2000, a group of four St. Martins residents started the Fundy Trail Cancer Walk. What began as a small community event has grown into a staple in the Foundation's annual event calendar, and has raised more than $140,000 for cancer treatment at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Read more
Next time you walk through our hospital's main lobby, look left to the table where our Foundation volunteers are busy selling wooden roses.
Chances are one of those volunteers is Sheila Levesque – or as her friends and family know her, Nanny.
Nanny began volunteering in 2004 after her husband lost a four-year battle with cancer. A decade later, she now averages about five days of volunteer time each week. Read more
